Monks travelling from Chobham to the sister chapel at Thorpe would first go to Gracious Pond and then go NE across the Common past the barrow in Longcross Woods and then pass south of Flutters Hill ¹, cross the Longcross Rd near the junction of Accommodation Rd ² and then NE to Thorpe via Hersham Farm.

A similar route seems to go directly on in a straight line from Gracious Pond Rd (the disused track can still be followed through the woods), past The Homestead and then NE to Thorpe.
